Change UAN Details in 4 Easy Steps*
KYC- Know Your Customer (KYC) is a process that has to be organized by financial institutions, where a set of institutions obtain information about the identity and address of the customers. Under EPF, the employers have to collect a set of documents from employees for whom they are making PF contributions. If an employee does not having UAN, the employer is required to complete UAN registration for the employee. If an employee having UAN joins an organisation, they are required to obtain the UAN and the KYC documents while on-boarding. In this article, we look at how to change UAN details on the Unified Portal.Documents Updated During UAN Registration
While generating UAN, the employer would update details of the following documents issued by the Government to the Employee along with document numbers. In case the employee later changes any of the following like driving license number, passport number or bank account number, the same can be updated by providing the current employer with the updated documents.- National Population Register
- AADHAR
- Permanent Account Number
- Bank Account Number
- Passport
- Driving License
- Election Card
- Ration Card

The following steps can be followed by an employee to change KYC details like UAN name. In some cases, due to marriage, a person might update their documents like PAN & Passport and would want to update their name on the UAN as well:Step: 1 - Login to Unified Portal
The users should log on to the EPF account using their UAN and password at: https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/Step: 2 - Update Name

The new document number entered like PAN or Aadhar must match the name provided to the EPFO authorities.Step: 4 - Save KYC Changes
Once the user saves the changes made by clicking the save button, he/she would notice that the data would be saved under the “Pending KYC” section. In case the user does not want the data to be saved, he could cancel the KYC process by clicking on the X sign marked against the document before it is verified by the EPFO.Step: 5 - EPFO Verification
Further, the user's details are verified by the EPFO from the data of the concerned department. Once the details match, EPFO marks the verified stamp in front of the document and KYC details would be updated.Change Mobile Number in UAN
