Fee for Birth Registration/Certificate
The registration of Birth and death by Chhattisgarh Government has been done entirely free for the next five years from the date of 05.11.2014 including delayed registration, available certificate and search fees. As a result, the applicant will not be charged for issuance of birth certificate in Chhattisgarh.Documents Required

Process for registering the Birth in Chhattisgarh is explained in detail below. Once the registration, as mentioned above procedures are completed, the birth certificate can be downloaded easily through the e-District portal. Follow the steps given below to download the birth certificate.Access e-District Portal
Step 1: Visit the homepage of the e-District portal for applying birth certificate. Step 2: Select certificate services from the menu. The link will redirect to the new page. Step 4: Select Citizen from the Login options. Click on the option Click Here for New Registration. Step 6: Upon clicking on citizen's registration page will appear, provide some details for user registration such as Username, Name, Password, District, Security Question, Security Answer, Mobile number, Email and Aadhaar Card Number. Step 10: After providing all mandatory details, click on submit. After verification with the actual records of the concerned hospital, the applicant can collect the birth certificate.Get Acknowledgement Slip
Once the application has successfully submitted, acknowledgement slip with application number will be displayed. Take a print of this slip. Keep it safe for future reference.Status of Application
Through SMS to the registered mobile number, the applicant will receive updates regarding the application status.
