Griha Aadhar Scheme
Women play a vital role in every profession, be it a teacher, a manager or an auto driver. The nature of the women is that they are devoted to the things they do. They always tend to support their family even when they are married and are still employed. There are two types of women post marriage. One kind of women are those who take up jobs to financially support their families whereas, the other kind of women are those who take care of their family by fulfilling all their requirements after her family members leave home. They are called Homemakers or housewives. However, there is a wrong misconception that being a housewife is a very easy task. There are cases where they are least valued by the society and not given importance equal to the breadwinner of the family. To support these women, the State Government of Goa has initiated the Griha Aadhar scheme that provides financial assistance of Rs. 1,200. The government helps housewives from the poor, middle and lower middle sections of the society whose family income is less than Rs. 3000. The fund is directly given to the homemakers in the family so that besides taking care of the family, the homemakers can also have a life of their own.Objective
The scheme targets all the homemakers of the family by supporting them financially so that they can be independent can take care of their needs. In addition to this, the scheme elevates the standard living of the families.Eligibility
Given below are the eligibility criteria to avail the benefits of the scheme:- The homemaker should be above 18 years of age.
- The homemaker should be a resident of the State for 15 years.
- The annual income earned by the couple should not be more than Rs. 3,00,000.
- Widows and divorcees are also eligible to apply for this scheme.

The following are the required documents to apply for this scheme:- Aadhar Card
- Marriage Certificate
- Proof of present residential address
- 15 years residential certificate
- Income certificate
- Attested copy of savings bank account passbook
- Child or children's birth certificate
Benefits of the Scheme
The applicants can avail the following benefits of the scheme:- The homemakers in Goa receive a sum of Rs. 3000 every month.
- With this amount, the homemakers can be independent and can have their own living.
- The women need not be dependent on her family members.
Application Procedure
Given below are the application procedure to apply for this scheme: Step 1: Approach the concerned Department The applicant has to approach the Director of Women and Child Development. Step 2: Receiving the application form The applicant has to receive the application form from the respective officer. Step 3: Enter the Details The applicant has to enter all the required details in the application form. Step 4: Attach the Documents The applicant has to attach the following documents along with the application form. Step 5: Submit the application Once all the procedures are duly completed, the Director of Women and Child Development processes the applications in all Taluk offices.Popular Post
