Haryana Viklang Yojana
People with disabilities are endowed with immense potential, the likes of which sometimes even outscores that of a person devoid of disabilities. The Social Justice and Empowerment Department of the Government of Haryana has introduced a pension scheme known as Haryana Viklang Yojana pension scheme to support the physically handicapped residents of the state. The scheme intends to reduce the complexities faced by these residents by granting them with a pension of Rs. 1800 on a monthly basis. This article seeks to create awareness of this state government initiative.Applicability
The scheme applies to the physically handicapped residents of Haryana who are aged 18 and above if their income is within the minimum wage limit specified for unskilled labourers as specified by the Labor Department of Haryana. The person considered eligible must obtain a certificate of disability from a Chief Medical Officer or a community/primary health center. The proposed beneficiaries should neither be in receipt of any other pension amounts nor be a government servant.Documents for Enrollment
The beneficiaries who qualify for the initiative must furnish the following documents:- Aadhar Card
- Below Poverty Line (BPL) Card
- Age proof certificate
- Domicile certificate
- Bank account statement
- Disability certificate
- Passport size photos
- Income certificate
Online Application Procedure
The applicants can download the application form online so as to submit it. Here’s how you do it: Step 1:- Official Website Visit the official website of Haryana’s social welfare department. Step 2:- Application Forms On the homepage, select the option “Application forms” found under the “General Information” section. Step 3:- Download Download the application form for “Viklang Yojana” in PDF format. Step 4: Details and Submission Enter the essential details in the application form and submit the same to the Social Welfare Officer of the respective district along with the required documents. That concludes the application procedure. The beneficiaries will receive their pension amounts soon after the process of verification.Identifying the List of Beneficiaries
It is pertinent to understand whether your name has been shortlisted for the scheme. The Government of Haryana has provided the candidates with such a facility. You may pursue the same in the following manner: Step 1:- Official Website Visit the official website of Haryana’s Social Welfare Department. Step 2:- View the List of Beneficiaries On the homepage, select the link “View list of beneficiaries.” Step 3:- Enter Details Enter details such as your locality, name of pension, type of pension, etc. The entire list of eligible “Viklang” pensioners will be displayed on the screen. The list would be populated with details of their name, gender, age, date of enrollment, pension amount, ward/sector, village/colony, base number, name of the particular bank/post office, account number, and date of uploading the account, etc. You can identify the existence of your name by using the Ctrl+F keyboard shortcut.Tracking Your Status
Akin to most governmental services, you are allowed to track the status of your application.
