HSN and GST on Umbrellas & Walking Sticks - HSN Chapter 66
GST on Umbrellas and Walking sticks was fixed by the GST Council in India. The rate was fixed through HSN Chapter 66. Under GST, all goods transacted in India under the purview of GST is classified under each of the HSN code, and an appropriate GST rate is fixed for the HSN Code. GST rates have been fixed in five slabs, namely NIL, 5%, 12%, 18%, and 28%. In this article, we look at the HSN code and GST rate for umbrellas, sun umbrellas, walking-sticks, seat-sticks, whips, riding-crops and parts thereof which fall under Chapter 66 of HSN Code. HSN Chapter 66 does not cover :- Measure walking-sticks or the like (heading 9017);
- Firearm-sticks, sword-sticks, loaded walking-sticks or the like (Chapter 93); or
- Goods of Chapter 95 (for example, toy umbrellas, toy sun umbrellas)
