Every resident of Madhya Pradesh must register the birth and apply for the birth certificate, as it proves the nationality of a person. The birth certificate is also useful for various purposes like admission in educational institutions, obtaining a passport, voter card, marriage certificate, driving license, etc.Registering Birth
The registration of birth has to be done within 21 days from the date of the birth by the following specified person. If a birth occurs in a hospital, the person authorized by the medical officer is required to record the birth. If a birth occurs in a house, the household head or adult person in the house is eligible to record the birth with the concerned authority. Finally, if birth occurs in a public place, the head of the corresponding village in the case of a town or the officer in charge of the local police station is required to register the birth.Government Fee

Documents Required
The following specified documents are to be provided at the time of applying for Madhya Pradesh birth certificate:- Proof regarding the place of birth (where the child was born) from the hospital.
- Parent's identity proof.
- Marriage certificate of the parent, optional.
