In Madhya Pradesh, to obtain a marriage certificate, the following criteria must be fulfilled:
- The bride and groom can apply after a month of marriage.
- The groom should be 21 years old, and the bride should be 18 years old.
Required Documents
To apply for a marriage certificate in Madhya Pradesh, submit the following documents:- Four passport size photos of groom and bride separately
- Birth certificates or mark sheet of groom and bride
- Wedding cards of marriage
- Wedding ceremony three postcard size photo
- Letter from both side (bride and groom) in case of delay by more than 21 days
- Priests or institutes certificate has to be provided if marriage solemnised by the registered priest or Arya Samaaj
- Details of two witnesses
- ID proof of both bride and groom
- Photo captured through the webcam.

The State Government of Madhya Pradesh has introduced an online method for the application procedure. The applicant can apply in the following manner: Step 1: Visit the home page of e-Nagar Palika, Madhya Pradesh. Upon successful payment, the applicant will receive acknowledgement number and payment receipt through the registered email id and mobile. Then the payment receipt and required documents should be submitted in the ward office to the concerned authorities.Offline Application Procedure
The State Government of Madhya Pradesh holds an offline marriage registration process through the Jan Seva Kendra where the applicant can get the application form. The couple can visit this centre and submit their duly filled application along with required documents. After the above process, the concerned authorities will issue the marriage certificate to the applicant. The following offices will issue the marriage certificate: Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) office, local Municipal Corporation/municipality office, tehsildar/tehsil office, revenue department office or through the panchayat.Popular Post
