Odisha Domicile Certificate
Domicile certificate or the residence certificate, as the name depicts is issued by the Government of Odisha for the person proving to be the resident of the state. Similarly, a person applies for the domicile or the residence certificate, if he or she intends to make the state his/ her permanent residence. This also applies to those applicants who are not currently residing in that place but are sure of it in the future permanently. In this article, we look at the procedure for obtaining an Odisha domicile certificate.Eligibility Criteria
Application for the Odisha domicile certificate must conform to the following eligibility criteria:- The individual has been a permanent resident in the village/town of the concerned tahsil or of the state for at least one year continuously.
- The applicant produces a copy of Record of Rights (RoR) of the residential plot owned by him, his parents or ancestors.
- The woman belonging to another state is also eligible if married to a permanent resident of the applying state.

- Proof of Identity (Aadhaar Card / Voter ID / PAN Card / Passport etc.)
- Proof of Residence (Land agreement with house owner / Bank passbook / Electricity Bill / Telephone Bill)
- Proof of Age (Educational certificate / Driving License)
- Land passbook
- EPIC
Processing Time
The competent authority for the issuance of the certificate is the Revenue officer who on the verification of the revenue inspector, grants the certificate within 15 days of the application under normal circumstances.Service Charges

Validity
