Police Clearance Certificates (PCC) in Kerala
The Police Department of Kerala issues Police Clearance Certificates (PCC) generally to the following three categories of applicants:- Direct application in Kerala
- Application from outside Kerala but in India
- Application from abroad
Documents Required for Police Clearance Certificate

Kerala Police Clearance Certificate Application
Step 1: Submit the application along with all documents listed above to police station. Step 2: The fee can be paid in cash at the police station or the DPO wherever required. The application for the UAE visas for employment will be submitted at the respective police stations and for other categories at the offices of the respective District Police Chiefs. The applicant can produce the application before the SHO or DPC through an authorized person or body also. The SHO or DPC after the verification process, will issue PCC and hand it over directly to the person authorized by the applicant to receive the PCC on his or her behalf after verification of the identity of that person. If the applicant wishes to receive the PCC by electronic means, the PCC duly signed by the SHO or DPC will be scanned as a PDF document and mailed to the applicant in the email specified by him from the official email of the SHO or DPC.Police Clearance Certificate for Criminal Cases
When it is found that the applicant is involved in a criminal case (other than strict liability offences like traffic offences etc.) within the police station or the District or City jurisdiction or elsewhere, a Police Clearance Certificate cannot be issued. In such cases, a reply would be issued to the applicant by the SHO or DPC informing that the PCC cannot be issued due to his or her involvement in the criminal case or cases.
