Rajasthan Fire License

Fire license or no-objection certificate is an important document which is issued by the Department of Local Self Government of Rajasthan to certify the conformity of requirements of fire safety measures of premises. In Rajasthan, fire license is required to obtain building plan approval from the Municipal Corporation. In this article, we look at the procedure for obtaining Rajasthan fire license in detail. Rajasthan Municipalities Act, 2009

According to the Rajasthan Municipalities Act, any individual proposing to construct a building of more than 15 meters in height for commercial or business purposes must apply for a fire license to the Cheif Fire Officer. The application has to be duly authorised before submission along with the appropriate building plans to the concerned authority, which is the Local Municipal Corporation under the state law.

Need for Fire License

An individual is required to obtain a fire license under the following conditions:
  • Fire license is a must for anyone seeking trade license or occupancy certificate from the civic body in the state.
  • Fire license is necessary to carry out businesses and trading activities, as listed under in the Department of State disaster and fire services.
  • Fire license is needed to verify that a building is resistant or unlikely to observe any fire-related accident.

The below mentioned are the essential documents that should be submitted along with the application form of Rajasthan fire license.
  • Site Plan
  • Basement Floor Plan
  • Stilt/Ground Floor Plan
  • Floor-wise plan
  • Terrace plan.
  • Section plan
  • Elevation plan
  • Complete Detail of Building
  • Photo of the fire system in working condition.
  • Sanction of Building Plan.
  • Fire Consultant Certificate
  • And if any other supporting records related to the above documents.

Processing Time

The entire process of providing a No Objection Certificate or a Fire License can be completed in thirty days from the date of application received.

Validity of Fire License

The Fire License or No Objection Certificate is valid for one year from the date of issue. Therefore, it has to be renewed every year.

Issuance of Fire License

On payment of fees online and submission, the application will be forwarded to the concerned fire officer. The Concerned fire officer assigns the application to a committee of Officers, and the Committee inspects the premises/building and submits the report online within seven days. The Committee then forwards the report to the concerned fire officer who approves or rejects the application, and the applicant will get an email with the final approved certificate. Alternatively, the applicant can also download the same from the online portal.

Applicable Fee

The applicant needs to remit an application fee of Rs.50/- to apply for No Objection Certificate or Fire License in Rajasthan.

Online Application Procedure for Fire License/No Objection Certificate

The applicant can obtain a No Objection Certificate online by following the below-mentioned steps. Step 1: The applicant has to visit the official portal of Rajasthan Single Sign-On(SSO). Step 2: The user needs to click on "New user" on the homepage of the portal. Step 3: For the first time, the user will have to register into SSO by Choosing the following options.

OTP (One-time password) Generation

Step 4: If the user chooses any of the options for registration, below screen will appear. On registered Mobile no. OTP will be sent. The user will have to enter the OTP to verify the record.

Username/ SSO Id Generation

Step 5:  Once the OTP verification is done, Single Sign-On ID will be generated. Single Sign-On ID will be the username to the user of the Single Sign-On application. The user will have to enter and remember the password against the generated SSO Id (username). User Login

Step 6: User can now log in to the SSO application with registered SSO ID and password.

Single Sign-on Applications

Step 7: To avail Fire NOC Service, one has to click on the "Single window Services Icon (SWS)" from the list of services appeared.

Step 8: The following screen will get display once the user clicks on the "Single Window System" button from Single Sign-On application. To make use of all the Single window system services, the user has to click on the option "I want to submit a new Application" as shown below. Step 9: Please click on service (Local Self Government)  to avail Fire NOC service from the Single Window Clearance System.

 Step 10: User has to fill all the details as shown in the below form to avail Fire NOC. The user needs to fill all required fields before final submission of the service form. Building Details

Step 11: User/ Architect will have to upload the file created from the Author utility. It will be the 'APZ' format file.

Fire Hose Reel Details

Step 12: The user will have to enter the details of the Fire hose reel.

Other System Details

Step 13: The user has to enter the other required, which is relevant to the fire safety measures.

Other Building Details

Step 14: Enter any additional information that is must regarding the building.

Fire Extinguishing Details

Step 15: Once an applicant fills all the details, a user can save the application by clicking the" Save" button.

Receive Acknowledgement ID

Step 16: The user will be provided with acknowledgement ID for further reference after submission of application.

Track Application Status

An applicant can see the number of services applied by the registered user. Also, the applicant can see the status of applied services from Single window clearance system  by following the steps explained below: Click on "Dashboard" menu on the home screen. Provide username and password and log in as the existing user. Select the inspection report and enter the appropriate details and click the "Verify" button, and then the user can able to view the status of the application.
