Rajasthan FSSAI Registration or License
In India, FSSAI or Food Safety and Standards Authority of India is regulated under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. FSSAI registration or license is required to ensure the safety of food products delivered to the customers. In Rajasthan, it is mandatory for all the food business operator engaged with manufacturing, processing, storage distribution and transportation of food products to obtain FSSAI registration or license. In this article, we view the procedure for obtaining Rajasthan FSSAI registration or license in detail.
Eligibility for FSSAI Registration
The following types of applicants are eligible to apply for FSSAI registration in Rajasthan:1. | Dairy units including chilling milk units equipped to handle or process | Up to 500 litres per day or up to 2.5 MT per annum |
2. | Food processing sectors including re-labellers and re-packers | Turnover, not more than 12 lakhs and whose production capacity of food not exceeding 100 kg/ltr per day. |
3. | Vegetable oil processing sector and vegetable oil manufacturing units by the method of solvent extraction and refineries including oil expeller unit | Turnover to 12 lakhs annually. |
4. | Slaughtering sector | Up to 2 for large animals. Up to 10 for small animals. Poultry birds up-to 50 per day. |
5 | Meat processing sector | Turnover up-to 12 lakhs annum. |
6 | Other business | Turnover up-to 12 lakhs annum. |
Eligibility for FSSAI License
The following applicants are eligible to apply for FSSAI license in Rajasthan. The FSSAI license is categorised into two types. They are:FSSAI State License
1 | Every food processing units including re-labellers and re-packers | More than 100kg/ltr per day to 2 MT per day. |
2 | Dairy units including chilling milk units equipped to handle or process | 501 litres to 50,000 litres per day of milk or above 2.5 MT of milk solids every year. |
3 | Vegetable oil processing sectors and units producing vegetable oil by the process of solvent extraction and refineries including oil expeller unit | Up to 2 MT and Turnover above 12 lakhs per annum. |
4 | Slaughtering units | Up to 2 large animals Up to 10 small animals Up to 50 Poultry birds per day. |
5 | Meat processing sectors | 5001m meat per day or 150 MT per annum. |
6 | Wholesaler | Turnover more than 30 Crore. |
7 | Retailer | Turnover more than 20 Crore. |
8 | Distributor | Turnover more than 20 Crore |
9 | Supplier | Turnover more than 20 Crore |
FSSAI Central License
1 | Every food processing units including re-labellers and re-packers packers | More than 2 MT per day. |
2 | Dairy units including chilling milk units equipped to handle or process | More than 50,000 litres the day of milk or above 2500 MT of milk solids every year. |
3 | Vegetable oil processing sector and sectors are providing vegetable oil by the method of solvent extraction and factories including oil expeller unit. | More than 2 MT every day. |
4 | Slaughtering sectors | Large animals above 50 every day Small animals above 150 every day Poultry birds above 1000 every day. |
5 | Meat processing sectors | Above 5001m meat per day or 150 MT every year. |
6 | Wholesaler | Turnover more than 30 Crore |
7 | Retailer | Turnover more than 20 Crore. |
8 | Distributor | Turnover more than 20 Crore |
9 | Supplier | Turnover more than 20 Crore |
Documents Required for Central License
The required documents are to submitted along with the application form of FSSAI central license.- Form B to be filled and signed by the applicant.
- The layout of the processing unit showing the dimensions in metres and operation- wise area allocation. ( Mandatory only for manufacturing and processing units)
- List of Directors/partners/proprietor/ executive members of society/trust with full address and contact details( Mandatory only for Companies).
- Name and record of equipment and machinery along with the number, installed capacity and horsepower used(Mandatory only for manufacturing and processing units)
- Identity and address proof issued by the government authority of proprietor/Partners/directors/authorised signatory.
- List of Food types desired to be manufactured.
- Authority letter with the name and address of responsible person nominated by the manufacturer along with alternative responsible person indicating the powers vested with them by assisting the officers in inspections, a collection of samples, packing and dispatch.
- Analysis report of water to be used as an ingredient in food from a recognised or public health laboratory to confirm the portability.
- Proof of possession of premises.
- Partnership deed or self-declaration of proprietorship.
- Copy of certificate obtained under the Coop Act,1861.
- NOC and proof of the license from the manufacturer.
- Food safety management system plan or certificate.
Documents Required for State License
The applicant has to submit all the above-mentioned documents for state license apart from that additionally the applicant has to furnish the necessary documents are as follows:- Supply of raw material for meat and meat processing industries.
- Pesticide residues report of water in the event of units manufacturing packaged drinking water, packaged mineral water and carbonated water from a recognised or public health laboratory.
- Recall plan applicable with details on whom the product is distributed.
- NOC from the municipality or local body
- Form IX- Nomination of persons by a company along with the board resolution.
- Certificate provided by the Ministry of Tourism.
- Proof of supporting documentary for turnover or self-declaration of the number of vehicles (For Transporter).
- Declaration form(In case of Delhi and Himachal Pradesh).
Application Procedure for FSSAI License or Registration
To apply for FSSAI registration or license in Rajasthan, follow the steps mentioned below: Step 1: Visit the official website of Rajasthan FSSAI Licensing and Registration System. Step 2: Click on “Apply Now for License/Registration” which is present on the homepage of the portal. Step 6: For each Kind of Business selected, check the capacity/turnover for determining the eligibility for that category and click on the Proceed button. Step 7: After clicking on Proceed, the current page will be re-directed to the new page where you have to click the link “Click here to apply”. Step 8: The declaration page will open up select the “Accept” button. Step 9: Then the application form will appear on the screen, fill the form with the required details and upload the documents required. Step 11: After making payment, a reference number will be generated for further reference.
