Rajasthan Ration Card

Rajasthan ration card is a multi-purpose legal document issued by the Rajasthan Food and Civil Supplies Department. One of the important benefits of a Rajasthan ration card is that it enables the holder to procure all subsidies provided by the Rajasthan Government. Identity Proof

The Rajasthan ration card number can be linked to Aadhaar card, which in turn will be linked to a bank account, thus the ration card serves as a multi-purpose legal document that facilitates several important tasks.

Government Subsidies

Rajasthan Government provides a subsidy for essential food items and commodities for ration cardholders. The essential food items and commodities that the Public Distribution System authorities supply to the ration card holders at subsidised rates are listed below:

PDS items

  • Foodgrains
  • Rice
  • Wheat
  • Fortified Atta
  • Levy Sugar
  • LPG
  • Fertilizer
  • Kerosene oil

Non- PDS items

  • Localised wash salt
  • Tea

Address Proof

The ration card serves as the legal identity proof required by the Government of Rajasthan. This document serves as an authenticated identity or address proof for the entire family since it comprises of all family members details.

Types of Rajasthan Ration Card

Rajasthan Government provides a ration card of a different colour to different categories of consumers (Family).

The following documents are essential to submit for getting Rajasthan Ration Card:
  • Passport size photograph
  • Aadhaar card
  • Domicile certificate
  • Previous electricity bills
  • Age proof – birth certificate
  • Gas connection
  • Bank passbook
  • Caste certificate
  • Income certificate
  • Application form

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria to apply for new Rajasthan ration card is listed below:
  • The applicant must not have a ration card
  • Couples who recently got married in Rajasthan can apply
  • Applicants in possession of temporary ration cards or cards that are past expiry can apply for a new ration card

Processing Time

The ration will be provided within 30 days from the date of submission of application.

Applying for Ration card through the e-Mitra centre

Procedure to apply for Rajasthan ration card through the e-Mitra centre is explained below: Step 1: Applicant needs to provide an application for getting a new ration card in Rajasthan. Fill the following details in the form.
  • Name and Address
  • Details of family
  • Gas connection details
  • Income details
  • Bank account information

Application For BPL, State BPL and AAY Card

Applying for Ration Card through e-Mitra

Here is the step by step guide to apply for Ration card online through the e-Mitra portal: Step 1: Visit the e-Mitra official webpage. Step 2: Select login option from home bar. New user Registration

Provide Details

Upload Documents

Step 5: Save the entered details and upload all required documents. Step 6: Apply by clicking on the submit button. The system will generate an acknowledgement slip.

Visit Ration Card Office with an Acknowledgement Slip

Step 7: Take a print out of this acknowledgement slip. Once the application has been approved, visit the regional ration card office near the location for obtaining ration card.

Correction in Ration Card

To add a name in ration card or to make a correction, follow the procedure given below: In addition to all documents listed above, an application form needs to be submitted to correct ration card. Provide Details

Paste the passport size photograph in the application form. In case of an address change, the applicant needs to mention very clearly about the reason for changing address. Provide personal details and enter the name of the new member whose name is to be added. In the case of name deletion, provide the person name in the appropriate column.

Submit Application

Application form along with all required documents need to be submitted at e-Mitra centre. Get the receipt from the service operator. Collect corrected ration card from the concerned ration card office.

View Ration Card Details

The applicant can view the ration card details in the official website of the Food and Civil Supplies Department. In the Important link section, select view details of ration card and ration distribution link.
