Scheme for Financial Assistance to Vocational Training
The Ex-Servicemen Welfare Department under Kendriya Sainik Board Secretariat has introduced the scheme for financial assistance to vocational training of widows. This scheme aims to provide financial support of Rs.20,000 to widows of Ex-servicemen (ESM) through vocational training. In the case of death of the husband in an accident or due to natural causes, then the widow is left financially handicapped. In such a case, it is the responsibility of the welfare department to assist the widow in gaining employment through vocational training. The eligible widows can pursue such course in any recognised vocational training institution which is controlled by the RSB/ZSB such as ITI, private training institutions or NIIT etc.Eligibility Criteria
The following criteria must be satisfied to get assistance for vocational training:- The applicant must be approved by the respective Zilla Sainik Board (ZSB).
- The applicant must be the widows of an Ex-servicemen of rank up to Havildar or equivalent.
- The applicant should have completed their training.
Financial Assistance for Widows
The AFFDF (Armed Forces Flag Day Fund) is responsible for allocating funds to the widows of Ex-servicemen. The quantum of assistance will be at the rate of Rs.20,000 on successful completion of vocational training.Documents Required
The following documents are to be furnished which applying for the scheme:- Discharge book or documents of Ex-servicemen (ESM) which includes the Ex-servicemen details, personal details, service details and details of the family has to be enclosed.
- Copy of identity card of the widow has to be furnished.
- Certified copy of ZSWO that widow after vocational training is gainfully employed.
- Details of Bank such as the name of bank and branch, account number, IFS Code, Account Number has to be enclosed.
Online Application Procedure
To apply for assistance under the scheme, follow the steps given below: Visit official Portal Step 1: The applicant needs to access the official website of Kendriya Sainik Board Secretariat (KSBS). New User Registration Step 3: Now, the registration form will be displayed, fill the form with necessary details as shown below. Save the Application Step 5: Save the application by clicking on the “Save” button and the saved details and password will be forwarded to your registered mail id. Step 6: Click the activation link which is sent to your mail id to login into the KSB portal. Provide Login Details Step 7: Provide user name, password and verification code and click on the “Login “button.
