Transgender PAN Card - How to Update Gender
The Government has introduced "transgender" as a new category of gender in PAN card. In new PAN application, the applicant would be able to choose "Transgender" as an option while applying. In case of persons already having a PAN, a change request applications can be submitted with 'gender' as 'transgender'. There is no requirement of depositing any supporting document for change of ‘gender’ to 'transgender' vide PAN Change request application. To update the PAN card gender to Transgender, the PAN card application or PAN card data change application can be used. Follow the steps below to complete the PAN Card gender change. Step 1: The application to update PAN Card gender can be submitted online or offline through the following modes:- Through any IT PAN Service Centres (managed by UTIITSL)
- Through any TIN-Facilitation Centres (TIN-FCs)/PAN Centres (managed by NSDL e-Gov)

- UTIITSL website - www.utiitsl.com
- NSDL e-Gov website - www.tin-nsdl.com
PAN Change Request Tracking
On submission of the application, the applicant will be provided an acknowledgement containing a unique number on acceptance of this form. This acknowledgement number can be used for tracking the status of the application through the following modes:- Website - www.incometaxindia.gov.in or www.tin-nsdl.com

- SMS - SMS NSDLPAN <Space> Acknowledgement No.
