Citizens can utilise a Domicile Certificate of Uttarakhand for the following specified purposes:- The special quota for State Government jobs
- Obtaining the Caste Certificate
- Admissions in engineering and medical colleges
- To get the preference in social welfare schemes
Eligibility Criteria
The following entities are eligible to obtain domicile certificate in Uttarakhand:- He/she is a resident of Uttarakhand.
- He/she should have been a permanent resident of the state for at least 15 years from the given year.
- A person who has a permanent home in the state but residing out of the State for earning or any other purpose.
- Women married to men who have permanent residence in the state.
Required Documents
The following documents are necessary while applying for the Domicile Certificate:- Photocopy of Parivar Register that should be certified by the Gram Pradhan or the certificate of Ward member.
- Photocopy of Electricity Bill.
- Photocopy of Ration Card.
- A copy of khatoni land period.
- Applicant should get the attestation in the form by the concerned officers or authorities.
- High school or Higher educational certificate.
- Confirmation of continuous residence in the State/UT for a particular minimum period.
- Tehsil Enquiry Report.
Application Procedure
Domicile certificate can be obtained either by applying through the respective CSC (Common Service Centre) or by visiting Sub-Divisional Magistrate/ Tehsildar Office / Revenue Department / District Collector Office.
